Writing 10 Minutes A Day

This is a short writing piece in the form of a journal entry I did this morning.

Writing with laptop.

I’ve been a long time believer that consistently doing anything 10 minutes a day you can learn anything. To what degree (beginner, intermediate, expert,) depends on “depends.” The most important thing is to do it most every day. Most likely you’ll go way past the 10 minutes. It’s the daily habit that counts. The following is my 10 minute writing session I did this morning.

I make today a great day. I had a restful sleep last night, and I thank God. I wrote out my daily task checklist in my paper notebook with the following.

Daily Checklist

  • Thank God
  • Meditation
  • Legs (elevate)
  • Writing
  • Business
  • Poomsae
  • German
  • 2500 Steps
  • 50 Squats
  • 10 Pushups

I have my legs (have temporary edema) elevated while I am doing a 10 minute writing session. I also listed out general and business tasks.

General Tasks

  • Walmart/supplies
  • Find MacAir Power Cord
  • Procrastinate (don’t)/Overhead Storage
  • Van Spray Foam/Insulation
  • Cancel Banking Auto Withdrawal
  • Business Tasks
  • Connect Patreon
  • Product Development Spreadsheet
  • 1 Low-Budget Video
  • Insync Mac Air & Thinkpad T-420

It is in my best interest if I do not obsess with the job delay. Though I will be proactive and stop by the store to see how my job application process is going. Also instead of worrying about being in my van in the cold winter again, I can take action steps like spraying insulation foam and planning next steps to insulate my van.

Note

I spent more than my allotted 10 minutes with this writing session. Good job (pat on my back – needed sometimes :-).
